Noticed this wasnt updated since Pre-FA.
Now updated
Fantastic!
With the frantic first days of free agency behind us, Iām a little surprised by both Agude and Galvin not being tendered. I thought they both were valued by the team.
Only other surprise is that now ZaāDarius Smith is on that list. Stunner.
Agude didnt get elevated much last season and Galvin was hurt. So maybe that played a roll. But its still early. They have time.
And there has been no official report of Nowaske and Neise being tendered, other than OTC.
As for Smith. He was a $11m hit this year if we kept him. On the FA market i dont think he gets more than $6. So cut for free (0 dead cap) Then let him test the market. And if wants to come back he can.
I think it was a mutual understanding.
RFA/ERFA status reported by Birkette yesterdayā¦
I edited the list above to reflect their status (non-tendered) while leaving their future team space open. Hopefully itās obvious to everyone that looks at it that theyāre officially free agents.
There we go. Trusted sources. Weird he didnt mention Pittman was extended tho.
But i imagine they didnt offer ERFA tenders because they didnt like what they saw. No point to bring a body in just to cut in a few weeks.
And i highly doubt they will be offered anything anyway.
Yeah, just didnāt see enough.
I think maybe we fans were higher on Agude than the team was.
On the RFA side, I think their not tendering them doesnāt mean they donāt want Awosika and Zylstra back, it just means they want them back at a lower salary.
Yea Agude got passed over by Mohammad, Occonnor, Thomas, Adams, even Houston got more snaps. He would have gotten playing time if they liked what they saw.
As for Zylstra and Awosika, i dont think there was a market for them to justifying RFA tenders.
Zylatra 3/4th TE. Not worth it.
Awosika MIGHT have been tendered if Mahagony didnt turn out to be good. But he definitely held his own at the end of the season and beat him out on the depth chart in the playoffs.
I think the Lions want both of them back if they can for cheap. But they are probably testing the market first
Updated the table.

I feel like our roster will be better entering next season than it was last year
Pros
ā Healthy cats instead of backups. HUGE, almost immeasurable impact
ā Gibby and his improvementā¦Jamo, Mahogany, (hopefully Arnold & othersā¦plz, BroMartā¦can you hear me, bro?)
Cons
ā Zeitler. I feel like we will be extremely fortunate to get a replacement that is even close to as good as him.
ā Davis. Though we got a nice replacement for him, it feels like a slight downgrade, but also includes a massive bump in $$ to spend elsewhere. On health alone, the Secondary will be improved from last year (net gain, even with losing a great player).
ā Z.Smith (Sheed). Hope we can get him back at the right price, but would expect a slight downgrade, if not.k
ā Coaches. Fuuuuck! I finally found the stomach to go back and rewatch the Foreskins game last week, and Iām not as mad at Ben as I thought I was, though I still am not at all happy with him and do root for his failure every week. The loss was almost entirely due to turnoversā¦and Gibby was un-ā ā ā ā ā ā ā -real. He got about 10/carry in that one and looked like the best player from either team.
For the right money, I would love to have JRM, Z.Smith, & possibly Mosely back for depth.
X-Factors
ā New Coaches
ā Draft
ā Can Goffster learn not to throw multiples? His numbers are FANTASTIC, but if he throws one, he throws 3-5. Canāt be having that anymore, if we want to win titlesā¦and I think we will win several.
Iād love your feedback on this.
I trust Bradās ability to bring in depth, for sure.
I am mostly concerned with replacing Smith &/or Zeitler.
DBs ā upgrade. Health alone, as well as development of youngsters. FA is a small loss, but a near āpushā IMO
LB ā Upgrade. Health should be a ig upgrade, as well as another yearās development of big Jack C. Hoping JRM and Rodrigo are back.
DL ā Massive Upgrade. Hutch, and especially when we get Alim back up to speed. Should have better depth too, with the development of cats like Mohommad, the FA acquisition we got for IDL (canāt remember his name), and Reader healthy from day 1.
OL ā Slight downgrade. Thank tiny, adorable, bald, baby Jesus that Fraley stayed. I think weāll still be great, and possibly dominant. Zeitler is my biggest offseason concern by a lot. Would love to see a great G/C combo high in the draft, if Bradley chooses to wield his powers of handsomeness in such a way. Maaaaaan I doenāt want to roll in there with less depth this year.
RBā> Upgrade. Have we seen Gibbyās ceiling yet??? WOW! That MFārz growth has been spectacular. Monty is a GD Man amongst men, and though heās less ābig brotherā than he was to Gibby his rookie season, I still think Monty is somewhat of the tone setter, game finisher, away crowd-silencer, etc. How much will Vaki improve? I can see a rook replacing Jeff, as heās an obvious bubble player, if not an easy cut.
QB ā Upgrade. Hook should be better as a backup. Goffster has improved every year, both in leadership and play on the field. I have no reason to believe he wonāt improve more this offseason.
WRā> Upgrade. ā¦I I think a big one. Jamo. Patrick from the go. Likely a rookie upgrade for WR4. Ra is a perfect player for what we ask him to do.
Punter ā LOL. Our guy is redefining what a good season looks like for punters. 2 of the best seasons ever by a punterā¦in NFL history. Holy ā ā ā ā I love that guy.
K ā Heās developing nicely, and I expect them to trust him even more this season. Heās gonna eventually break the NFL record (probably break his own record a few times), if not this year then next.
