Flexing that one to February 9th.

good one
Wouldn’t CBS protect that game?

That would give us one more day off for healing and preparation right?
My only thought is the networks cutting a deal with each other.
The fact that MNF has 2 games that week kind of diminishes the whole thing. I agree with ARSB on that point.
That is by far the biggest match up of the weekend. So if I am CBS I am not letting that go without some serious cash in hand.
Perhaps the NFL can overrule a network? Otherwise CBS would protect that game for sure. It’ll get huge ratings.
I hope they don’t flex it. Really ■■■■■out of town fans over. Happened to me in the past and haven’t been back to a game since. Cost me an extra thousand bucks them flexing it.
Huge difference between a 4pm Sunday and 8pm Monday night in terms of travel, hotels, flights, etc
SO as someone who rarely attends Lions games I tend to forget about these things.
For me the best game of the weekend is SNF followed closely by TNF. For some reason the MNF games are tough on me due to work and such.
I know that I am not going to the MSU game tonight because WTH. I like the Friday night Labor Day weekend as I go up North at halftime so it is kind of a traditional type event. But in the middle of the season to do a Friday Night sucks ass.
One extra day to prepare for the Bills, at the expense of preparation for Chicago. Mind you, we have TNF the previous week, so we already have an extra three days.
This is my dilemma now. I thought the worse case was flexing to Sunday night. NOT a different day. Now i have to double book and pay more because im booking later.
I gotta say that the calculus does not support this theory.
I think a better discussion is why would CBS not protect its 4pm game of the week when it is a potential SB match up?
And as I stated above the only thing I could see would be cash. And lots off it. The Ad revenue alone will be bumped nicely.
Not gonna happen. But i think MNF will definitely flex A game. Because ATL@LV is booty.
Fox and CBS both have a game of the week.
CBS BUF@DET
FOX PIT@PHI
Each get to protect 1 game per week from being flexed. And CBS will definitely protect this game.
Because the other CBS games?
MIA@HOU
IND@DEN
KC@CLE
NE@ARZ
BAL@NYG
So you tell me which CBS will protect?
Definitely the matchup with 2 top 5 Teams with the top 5 QBs.
My guess is they will flex either MIA@HOU or IND@DEN
Or possibly TB@LAC from FOX.
All 3 games have playoff teams. Or playoff hopeful.
Yep super frustrating. Hope it doesn’t screw you over.
The NFL can’t breach TV contracts. If they some how move that game from CBS it is probably because they paid the network
One extra day for them to prepare for us. Our offense is like no other in the league.
