Judon is the same size as Paschal and slightly lighter than Levi… I like the idea of him being a base end/inside pressure guy in a rotational role.
Justin Rogers guessing may have something to do with when Mohammad and Paschal will be available.
Zadarius was just slight better with pressure.
15 pressures
Judon 12.
Both with about 600 snaps last year.
However Atlanta was TRASH last year on Defense.
And yes judon dropped back more a LOT.
He was the 5th DL most of the time,
Meaning his roll was either blitz or drop back.
vs Z was almost always the true edge setter.
Z was also better against the run.
I do find it odd. Why Judon over Smith?
Unless

Did I call this a month ago? Or was I just thinking about calling it, and never posted it since he was horrible these past two years? Yeah, I can find no such post. But I was THINKING about posting this, does that count?

Personally I see them as different flavors of pass rush help. Z is terrific when you slide him inside. Judon is better rushing from the outside and in particular has always shown real instinct for gamed up pressures on stunts and loops.
They could definitely coexist without too much overlap but I’m pretty sure it’s either/or. Z is likely a safer bet due to familiarity but I think there may be more upside with Judon.

where O where is Zadarius Smith— must have a “gag order” on him because I haven’t heard $#!7 from him, his agent, or from our camp on the subject.
Here he is…
