Mostly a college coach, but does have a lot of experience coaching in college. The Lions have a lot of young D-linemen so maybe a good match. Can’t say I know much about the guy.

Was that a clever swipe or a typo? Either way I like it!

I like hiring ex-Penn State D line coaches…

And their D line has been pretty solid recently.

Did Brockers change his name? Because surely Brockers is the next DL coach… and don’t call me Shirley.

I would love confirmation but it seemed like the Rams (and perhaps now the Lions) have a draft like board following position coaches and the PFF performance of their units.

McVay goes through coaches like toilet paper and so they constantly had to reload with up and comers and did well overall.

Would be @CuriousHusker if this guy had a top PFF unit for DL in college…

Maybe he’ll start off as the assistant DL coach?

I might be using my honolulu colored glasses for this next statement but…would a college coach have a better grasp on how to deal with the RPO game and running QBs?

As if I make typos!?

I will say I am obviously hoping this works out but I will still probably miss Wash next season. Just disappointed he left. Happy for him, but disappointed.

Actually, I like this hire . John seems highly intelligent and maybe he has some insight on some players who might be drafted later. He’s definitely a Campbell type of coach imo

Reminds me of Rosey Grier

Both big beautiful men

Was with the jets in 15/16 …. Wonder how they did back then
