Yeah, I don’t think he goes before the 2nd at the earliest. He’s 5-6 years older than a lot of the guys he’s going against.

yeah… if he was really good….
he’d be playing on his 5th year option at age 29.
That is not ideal.
OTOH…. it would make it easy to decide NOT to extend him after his rookie deal.
