Pretty impressive feat when the rest of the top 7 teams have played at least one more game.
It is nice to see. The dline has been a strength. But we need to play complimentary football on defense. All 11 guys doing their job, not just one unit.
What good is a sack on 2nd down, if they convert on 3rd and long anyways the next play. Huge test on Sunday. Looking forward to it.
I watched an all-22 analysis of the defense and how the early scheme didn’t match the talent. Our safeties were playing too far back and not supporting the corners.
It was easy picking for crosser timing routes. The quarterback got rhythm. It was chunk yard after chunk yard.
against Arizona, we changed the positioning of our safeties to play more crosser support and it helped. Also, Rick straw the last came and a half has been absolutely balling. Sticky as ■■■■. We may have written him off too soon.
With a better scheme, Rick straw hitting his stride and Bryan branch coming back. This defense could be profoundly different than what we saw early in the first few games.
