Obviously these national guys aren’t attuned perfectly to our tendencies, but overall I think this is a pretty good list. I don’t think Green or Nolen will be on our board for off-field issues, but maybe they aren’t as bad as they’ve been reported to be.
The Lions may be trying to win now, but if they’re going to win at the highest level, they need more at quarterback. Milroe would be a roll of the dice, but if he can be their version of Jalen Hurts, he could provide Detroit with the kind of smash-mouth-at-all-positions style that has carried the Eagles, which the Lions would love to deploy under Dan Campbell.
From that list, I would be happy with DT Harmon or Grant and for DE Scourton, Stewart or Green, with a trade back CB Thomas maybe JTT or Sawyer, Dream scenario would be 1 DE Scourton, 2 DT Collins>Walker
I feel strongly that Bama is going to be upgrading at QB next season. So let that sink in.
Milroe is super raw IMO. He would make a great TE prospect or slot guy or maybe even a RB or H-back. But his passing game needs refinement. I would put him below JJ whom I think was a better passer and I have doubts JJ will ever be much in the NFL.
Now maybe you grab Milroe and hope that after 1-2 years of coaching he can be more consistent. But I would also be concerned at how well he processes. Listen I though the biggest issue with Bama when I watched them was the inconsistent play at QB. He could dominate or look bad. Flip the coin.
I don’t think anyone had Jack Campbell going were we took him, got a feeling somr lower graded guys will get drafted higher and some guys rated higher will drop .
