Sneaking into the playoffs might have been exciting in 2021. The regression of this team is sad. I was expecting more.
Hire Ben Johnson as GM. That’s now considered outside help. 
If we have to rely on some other team to win for us to be in the playoffs, then we don’t deserve to be there to begin with. We had every opportunity to win critical games but fail. This season was a total failure and I can’t wait to here Brad Holmes end of season presser.
Just as there are 60 minutes in a game, there are 17 games in a regular season.
If the Lions final record sees them make the playoffs, then they absolutely deserve to be there.
And if Brad and Dan get into the postseason after losing both coordinators (and six other coaches) he will have outdone what Howie accomplished in a similar situation with the Eagles.
I, too, am disappointed with the way the season has gone. No excuse losing to JJ and the Vikings at home. Puke.
I don’t expect much through the rest of the 2025 season, honestly. But if they make the postseason then I think we can say it wasn’t a total debacle given the coaching turover and the injuries.
It’s one down year where we still could win 11 games…

I thought this would be our division for at least a few more years. I really find this year unacceptable as it’s a direct result of a poor off-season.
So we need to win out and have either Ravens or 49rs win. Ravens/49rs winning is more likely than us winning out at this point imo.
I was going to post these very same sentiments. It’s not like any other team is going to win or lose a game intentionally to “help” us get in. It will be just how the season plays out. If we get in at 11-6 against the schedule they played this year, that’s a he’ll of a job. Taking nothing away from our NFCN opponents. If we don’t make it in, the team eared that as well, because despite injuries, despite schedule, they could have done better. We all think there are a couple games they could have and should have won but they let them slip away.
There’s a more than decent chance that Baltimore won’t have anything to play for against the Packers.
If we beat the Steelers and the Ravens beat the Patriots then it doesn’t matter what result the Ravens get against the Packers, because their week 18 game with the Steelers is win-and-in for them either way.
So, go Patriots!

We have some injury prone players ,I will not build around Arnold ,kerby, branch and laporta,to me they always get niggles in every game. We have a stats saying that we have more points when Dan call plays,that’s true ,but Dan is qualified to make the right play calls when it matters is the underlying issue , please accept that reality @BarrySanders20
I do love how a 10 or 11 win season could be perceived as negative by anyone.
Not making the playoffs will suck but this would be 3 years in a row with double digit wins for a franchise that has never won double digits in 2 straight seasons.
So things are good
man I would not mind squeaking/sneaking into the Playoffs, yet I’m not sure if we could survive there by winning a few games.
Wouldn’t it be wild if a win against bears in week 18 got us in but Chicago had already clinched. Ben could rest them or play them. Would be crazy
