Lions OFFICIAL (unofficial) Depth Chart Dropped!

This is my adjustment off of it.

I think I’d give Yeboah the upper hand over Zylstra at this time…

but looks pretty reasonable to me!

Based on a couple of reports ive seen (including Jeff Risdon) its not even close.

Zylstra is the clear cut TE3 right now.

Yaboha can block well thats about it. Sounds like hes been struggling offensively in the pass game all camp.

I think Meeks makes the practice squad. Not sure over who, but I’ve heard nothing but glowing reports and he’s a perfect future replacement for Patrick as a depth guy.

It’s a depth chart put out by the PR department, it’s not necessarily more accurate than yours or anyone else’s.

Just depends on what type of guys they want on the PS. They are all so different
Figure 6 guy will make the PS out of the DB/WR/RB/TE

The depth is SOO good in that group its very hard to pick just 6. Its what the pre season is for. Whose gonna rise to the top

Sorsdal Stenberg

That was my initial post when we drafted him

And Manu is backing up Taylor Decker.

ALL camp?

The first padded practice was 6 days ago….and he is new to the team.

Zylstra has been here a while… I would expect him to start with an advantage.

I’m hoping for no injuries and no trick plays, except for a reprisal of the Jamo interception, but with TeSlaa throwing a completion on the first play of the game. Then I’ll be happy.

I believe they are playing different positions. Jones had at least 2, maybe 3 false starts at RT last week. That wasn’t pretty

Jones started the game ahead of Manu and then in today’s practice Jones played ahead of Manu at LT.
With Skip out and starters not playing in the pre-season Manu should start Friday.
He should get extra reps this week in team period while Decker is going through acclimation period.
This will be a big week to either climb to 2nd team or get buried on 3rd team.

Does Manu take reps at right tackle in practice? I’ve never seen him anywhere but Left tackle

He did look decent last Thursday. It was against 3rd stringers though

Manu plays mostly LT but this today from Justin Rogers:
“On Sunday, Manu saw a little more action on the right side, still with the second group”.
It appears that Jones will be the 2nd team LT while Skip is out and the 2nd team RT when Skip returns.
A few other Practice notes from today:
Tim Twentyman:
“With Decker still not back doing team portions of practice yet and Dan Skipper (ankle) out for about a week, it was veteran Jamarco Jones taking reps at left tackle with the first-team offense. Manu did work in some reps with the first team as well but he’s still got plenty of development ahead of him”.
Jeremy Reisman:
*Depth chart shakeups

Along the offensive line, we saw a few changes on Sunday. For one, with Taylor Decker still sitting out team drills and Dan Skipper nursing an ankle injury, it was mostly Jamarco Jones as the first team left tackle. That said, Giovanni Manu got a handful of reps with the ones as well".
Jeff Risdon:
“The first-team left tackle reps in team drills primarily went to Jamarco Jones, who also aligned only at left tackle during the 1-on-1s against the defense (more on that below). Giovanni Manu took second-team reps, followed by newcomer Justin Herron, who also saw some action at right tackle in his first practice”.
