I’m not familiar enough with the all the other OL in the league, I know Philly was consider one of if not the best but losing a starter or two hurts them. Definitely in the mix for the best.

Ragnow isn’t playing 4 more years, book it… He may not play more than 2. I hope they bring back Decker, he’s the leader of that group, a great player and loves this team. They need to replenish the IOL, Holmes will heavily invest there in the draft I believe.

Age is a bit overrated when it comes to the OL. Ragnow is only 27, Sewell is young. We’ve seen OTs and other OL play at elite levels into their mid 30s, it’s not a position like corner or WR where there’s a sudden drop off. Basically - I don’t really worry about age one bit with this team, only the health of Ragnow moving forward.

I think the Zeitler signing did no such thing. Last year, we were the best OL in the NFL.

Try looking up some real stats before you accuse someone of throwing out awards. In 2023, the Lions were ranked first in DVOA metrics for Adjusted line yards at 4.77 a game.
We’re getting a 34 year old to replace someone who could be entering his prime, just like when we replaced Larry Warford with TJ Lang. How did that work out?
I’m glad Brad is trying to keep a strength a strength, but we were good to start with. Its a good back-up plan, in fact I mentioned it last month. I’m glad we didn’t pay Jonah, but we need OL early in the draft.
The OL may be the best in the league, but it’s not as young as it was back when they signed Zeitler.
