I bought 5 tickets to the Packers game in GB. My group is taking the ferry from Muskegon to Milwaukee because the badger is closed for the season.
We’re staying in Manitowoc and we’re looking for a place to eat prior to the game. Maybe a place that offers a shuttle to the game that opposing fans would enjoy.
I’ve looked at some of the tailgate packages. Has anyone had any experience with them as an opposing fan?
We’re driving in on the day of the game and back home the next day so it’s a quick one day trip over and back.
I’d like to hear some suggestions.
I know there are a couple Lions fans here who live in Wisconsin. I’d love to hear your advice.
If you have time, Manitowoc has a great brewery called PetSkull Brewing. The courthouse one is meh, but decent food. You can also visit the spot where Sputnik landed in Manitowoc.
As far as pregame parties, just go as early as you can to Lambeau and there’s parties/tailgates everywhere. The Packer fans are usually pretty welcoming to visiting fans. I’ve just walked right into tailgates. If you’re friendly, they’ll be cool, even if wearing Lions gear.
Since it’s a night game, you’ll have plenty of time to find a place.
People who live near Lambeau let you park in their yard for about $20, giving you a short walk to the stadium.
When I lived in Green Bay I would always suggest to people to park over at the mall and take the bus to the stadium. I attached their game day routes, which stop right at the mall. The mall is also not that far off of the highway. Just to point out I am not talking about the east town mall, but there is one right down the road from the stadium called Bay Park Square. Also there are some decent restaurants located near by.
Naw I used be a fly fishing guide on those rivers when I was younger. I know them extremely well. Fish them many times a year. I plan to target them the weekend before and after the game. There’s plenty of fresh fish in those rivers at that time.
