Fun player. My hope at EDGE is bruiser early and a fun DPR late.
They seem to be looking into a lot of DPRs. I admit I don’t know much at all about KJN
He’s probably more of a SAM type within that DPR spectrum.
That makes him even more of a fit for us honestly, at least traditionally.
I like that Cincy Bearcat defense they’ve got nice prospects

Yowza, Dane has Corleone as a UDFA in the Beast, DT30, behind Skyler Gill-Howard, Damonic Williams, Gary Smith and Jackie Marshall… all guys most people haven’t even heard of. I’m a little low on Corleone too, but I was thinking 5/6th round. If that’s what Dane’s hearing then he’s gonna be really cheap.

I had him as a draft crush (I was thinking day 3 pick). But wow, that is lower than I thought. I keep really wanting Kayden Mcdonald, and I think both Brad and Dan will like him. But I just can’t justify him in our situation.

I’m thinking those medical issues might be worse than anyone thought. There are some people on another draft site saying he might be forced to retire.

The retiring stuff could just be rumors, but no doubt he’s had his health issues. Missed an entire season with blood clots iirc

I’m late to the party here, but did anyone else notice that basically all the LB’s we have been in contact with (according to the link at the top) are much more undersized than we typically go for? They’re all 5’10’-6’0” and around 220 lbs. This makes me think we arent going to be trying to replace Anzalone with a similar type guy. We probably just run nickel most of the time (especially with so many DB signings in FA) and run out Barnes and Jack as our main 2 LBs all the time. I think our 3 man LB rate will come down drastically this year, more in line with the rest of the league.

Rodrigo is that type of guy. Smaller, shorter, short-armed. He hit 232 at the combine but he doesn’t really weight that much, probably plays in that 225 range. I’m with you though that I hope we don’t play 3 LBs nearly as often. Honestly Branch should just play that spot.

I would not read too far into it. I would suspect most are potential UDFAs we may like to sign after the draft who could play a role on special teams. You talk to them ahead of time to let them know your interested.

Agree, the guys we are looking at are for the special teams.
I don’t mind looking at the nickel linebacker types. I’m fully confident in Rodrigo being linebacker three.
