All three are outstanding 3rd string players. They can all play spot duty as starters and have some upside potential.
As 3rd stringers, many teams don’t have backups as good as them.
Sure hope Houston gets back to 100 percent after snapping his ankle. Essentially didn’t play football last year. He could really help the pass rush on 3rd downs
His rookie season, Houston played much better than a third string player. His pass rushing efficiency was historic.
Agreed but I think teams learned to attack him with the run. He’s not bad laterally but can get engulfed trying to anchor a mobile OT. I think that’s why they were forcing him into coverage so he could expand his role and move to OLB. He was pretty raw there so at this point he is a 3rd and long specialist and thus shouldn’t even be a true backup at this point.
Don’t get me started on Houston again. I got overly obsessed with him at the end of the season. And, clearly, he wasn’t ready at 49ers. But, with a clean bill of health come training camp, I’ll be jonesing all over him once more. I can feel it!
