His dad is black. So from a parent to compensatory pick generation standpoint he’s twice as efficient as your typical minority candidate.

With all of these HC openings it could be some time before he’d be willing to accept an OC job.

he is very small…so likely in the bottom 10% of size for a male. And for the NFL likely bottom 0.5 % which should make him qualify as a minority.

I am also wondering if he needs to really appear to be interviewing for these HC jobs so he gets the fat pay from the Dolphins. Someone said as part of his contract he must pursue a job and for sure a HC at first.
I like the Lions chances here just because I doubt there are any good spots for him at the moment. He would require a unique situation. Like I could see the Raiders hiring him.
Do we have any idea what time the interview was?

So I think this might really come down to timing.
If MM wants to take his HC interviews the Lions might find someone they like also and just move on.
I didn’t think McDaniels would get a HC job and but 9/32 teams need a coach. I’m not sure anymore
Still yet to hear any discussion of him taking OC interviews outside of ours
