Lions Roster Bubble Tracker: who you got?

I don’t think we’re going to really lean into it the way McVay did end of year. I think we’re going to be incredibly diverse but I still think 11 person will be where our bread is buttered. It puts the best weapons on the field, creates the best blocking matchups aside from the OL bc our WR room is so good in that regard, it presents a totally different play action and hot read threat and it maximizes Gibbs’ skillset.

Vaki is a lock bc of his ST play

Yep, that’s where I am too. Smart usage of our roster

Risdon has been adamant that the Lions won’t run 13 a lot like everyone speculated early on when Petzing was hired… They’ll run it, but not 12% of the time like they did in Arizona. I’d guess it stays around the same 5-6% as it has in the past… Probably as Borom being the 3rd “TE”

Agreed

My bet is that Goff will get cut and Hendon Hooker will be the starter. You don’t draft a project QB in the 3rd if he isn’t going to eventually be the starter.

That’s 21 of the likely 25 we will keep on D

Whiteside
D Clark
Dorsey
Gill-Howard
T West
P Turner
Wingo

We need 4 more from the above group… I’m guessing Dorsey, Turner, West, and Whiteside

Only issue I see with this is keeping only 4 LBers and one of them being Rolder. I think you have to squeeze at least one more in there.

edit

Oh nvm you have Devin White listed at the end of DB group. My bad!

I gotta be missing something with Lacy. I didn’t see much last year. The Jags gave up on him last year and then we claimed him. Shep seems to love him.

I read that he has been taking reps in training camp at Skippers old spot as Jumbo TE

He’s in that Cominsky big end mold, he’ll rarely flash on the scoresheet but if he’s doing everything right, he’s allowing all of the other guys to flash. But as for pressure we’re unlikely to get much except when he’s lined up at 3T, which probably won’t be that often.

This is really a super awesome tool for projecting the final 53 man someone built (@DBend144 I thought you would really like it):

Hmm, that didn’t post very readably for me, at least not on my computer. I suspect it would look better on mobile.

The guy has some sharing kinks to work out, it seems.

I think we’ll keep 6 LBers.

Yep, especially with the questionable secondary and the depth therein

RB4, WR6, TE4, DL10, LB6, CB7…

If I had to pick 3 I would go all 3 at the defensive positions. Our extra offensive guys will all make it through to the PS. Not so sure about our defensive depth.

This is course is without projecting a couple claims ourself.
