It’s fly or die time for sure.

Year #3. We have a Super Bowl to win.
I don’t wish ill on any man. I just know it’s going to happen to someone.
Fly, or bye.

It’s amazing to me that a TE with a 100% career cath percentage on his targets is considered a “bubble” guy.

I realize he has only 11 catches… on 11 targets…

but……

Ebron used to drop 11 passes every season.

On a serious note… Mitchell was brought along slowly in his rookie year due to his ACL injury the year before he drafted.

Same as Jamo.

LaPorta takes all the TE targtets in 2023….
much like ASRB does at WR.

Might as well be discussing the possible release of Jamo considering the similarities…. but Mitchell was a 5th rounder…
so some people are ready to cut bait.

The question for me is…. who is better as the TE #3 on this team???

Depends on what you want from TE3. If you want a slow run blocker, Mitchell has the edge. If you want a pass catcher, Zylstra has the hands. McKeon and Hesse both have a lot of special teams experience.

Barring injury, I think Zylstra wins it.

Zlystra is going to give him a run for his money.

Mitchell’s strength is receiving……

and although he didn’t get to run a 40 time due to his injury,
he averaged 16 ypc in college, was given handoffs on jet sweep plays, and even was asked to return a few punts.

That isn’t really the profile of a slow TE.
