Lions S Elliott 'probably won't be able to play' vs. Carolina & Tues Injury Report

No surprise there.

Not good, but CJ Moore has been looking good at safety, so…

No more injuries, please.

We need Elliot back for the Packers game definitely and we certainly could use him against Chicago. We’ll be fine without him this week. Carolina cannot throw the ball.

Elliot and Okusah are great in run support.
El Jeffe had a rough game last week though.

Campbell mentioned seeing more of Iffy in one of his press conferences.
The options are pretty much, CJ, Iffy, or Will Harris.

Woooo hooo Will Harris gets to start.

:man_facepalming::mx_claus:

say it with me… “target and draft secondary help in April pretty please!”

Makes sense. Chase Lucas is healthy now to back up Mike Hughes.

Did I miss something or is CJ Moore starting in place of Elliot?

Yea I assume so, and Harris will probably start in the slot. So both will get a ton of snaps IMO. With all the draft ammo they’ve got - targeting another building block in the secondary is super important IMO

Sounds like it’ll be a mix of CJ and Iffy, according to Dan.

Okay. Harris in the slot I’m fine for this year just not at safety. Slot corner is something we need to improve next offseason.

im with you guys @ CB, I just want Holmes to get the ARSB/Houston version of it, instead of first 2 round version.

Trenches first (by a mile)…unless there’s truly nobody available.
I almost expect Holmes to get the best CB in the draft in the 6th round or something like that. LOL

I’m all for drafting some secondary help, but I don’t necessarily want to rely on a couple rookies where you hope the other testicle is going to drop, to play the kind of steady, competent game out of the gate that a team looking to take the next step needs. I’m definitely on board with bringing in at least one, competent, fa cb. We need a Rashean Mathis, Dre Bly type

oooohhhhh! sure love him!

Harris has been playing like 80-90% of the snaps for several weeks now. I’d keep him at corner where he’s actually been decent, I would not move him back to safety where he was just terrible in years past. Go with CJ Moore.

It was a joke my friend. Because he sucks…especially at S….lol

Roger that!! The fact that AG has turned Harris into a serviceable corner is kinda impressive because he was literally the worst safety in the nfl.
