this will change over time, but having bears and minny twice (we dont play minny till end of year, and i do think that team is better than their record indicates)

plus, panthers, Raiders, Broncos, along with the mediocre saints and you have a pretty cakewalk schedule

not to say they dont have bad opponents, but we did just finish a very hard strech of games 3-1, and we still got some tough teams ahead (TB - Baltimore road streak, and chargers in LA after they Bye)

Yes, i was more tongue in cheek saying that this dude sucks at trolling as the current sos paints the opposite picture. With that said i agree that things change over time and the current remaining sos wont likely stay the same and matchups matter as well not just a binary sos.

Only three games against teams with winning records, at Tampa, at Baltimore and at Dallas.

Obviously that will change but there’s a lot of games left that the Lions should be winning.

We have the same schedule as the other NFCN teams minus 2 games

Same, but we’ve played the Chiefs already and won. I’m going way out on the limb and counting that as losses for the Pack, Easy Kwesies, and UnBearables.

those damn germans at pearl harbor. REMEMBER THE ALAMO!

Not that it really matters but bears lost to chiefs last week.

I know the OP is just talking about up until the first Bears game but, on paper, it looks like one of the easiest schedules in the league…

Carolina - 0-4
@ Tampa (3-1 but it’s a soft 3-1)
@ Baltimore - 3-1
Vegas - 1-3
@ LAC - 2-2
Chicago - 0-4
Green Bay - 2-2
@ New Orleans - 2-2
@ Chicago - 0-4
Denver - 1-3
@ Minnesota - 1-3 (usually tough but could be tanking by this time)
@ Dallas - 3-1
Minnesota - 1-3

They face 2 probable playoff teams in Dallas and Baltimore, bubble teams like Tampa, New Orleans, Chargers and Green Bay then 7 games against bad teams in Chicago (2), Minny (2) (Minny could be bad by then if no Cousins), Vegas, Denver and Carolina.

There is no easy game in this league but in terms of speaking in a relative sense, this schedule is one of the easier ones in the league I’d have to imagine.

You’re forgetting that every other NFCN team has to face the Lions twice which makes our schedule much easier.

Guys remember that all the NFC North teams play the same cross over division in the AFC and NFC. Literally the only difference are the 3 seeded cross overs into the other 2 Divisions in the NFC and the 1 random in the AFC. That is it.

But valid point. The Bears for instance have to play the Lions twice verses playing the Bears twice…hehehhehehhehhehe Huge advantage Lions.

At 3-1 with the injuries and suspension of Williams, the Lions have adjusted on the fly and been able to mostly cover up their depth issue’s. That’s what good teams do. And then you look at the teams on their schedule and all of a sudden it’s addition by subtraction as teams that might have looked better going into this season, well, aren’t.
Week 5 Power Rankings
Bears…#32
Panthers…#31
Bronco’s…#30
Raiders…#28
Saints…#25
Vikings…#16 OK this one is simple denial.
Packers…#11 (See Vikings ranking)
10,9,8…Chargers, Buc’s and Ravens
Cowboys…#2

7-1 vs #16-#32
3-2 vs #11-#2

13-4 is looking very, very doable.

To be fair any team that plays chicago makes chicago look easier by the week.

Want to be the best, you gotta beat the best. And, the worst, btw.
Time to leave no doubt.

I said 13-4, this kinda makes sense. 4 wins out of the dont suck bucket and 6 out of 7 from the Suck Bucket
