Lions select DE Derrick Moore at #44

Opinions folks. I like the pick a lot, but lions need a lot.

I dont love the trade up, but it wasnt that punitive, and imo when we look back on it in 2 years, Moore at 44 will be considered a steal. Dude has a motor and high ceiling, and is in this program now and under Hutch’s tutledge

Bain will never see a double digit sack season. Book it

How will the Lions ever recover from trading away pick #128 and it’s 7-12% success rate?

SB or nothing matters. You and I have seen nfc north titles, we’ve watched a choke job vs san Francisco. I want you and every lions fan, to cry and call off work because the Lions won it all. I make statement and im attack like mouse on trap.

Thank you. And actually get it.

They have a surplus of picks… Two 4th rounders aren’t contributing next season… Be happy the FO had enough conviction to get a player they valued, at one of the few positions of need on the team.

And they haven’t won nothing and they haven’t won the super bowl are two MASSIVELY different statements

I like the pick, but I again I hate trading up.

They don’t need 7 day 4 picks man… Bigger apple, not more bites at the apple

Woah dude, quit attacking Marty like that. It’s uncalled for. He’s just making a statement!

Marty look at it this way…

We get the guys we want. They identify their players and go get them instead of hoping. BH and DC have been pretty good in the draft right? Well this is one of the reasons why.

I too haven’t liked the annual trade ups for Manu, Vaki, Teslaa, and BroMart…but you have to take the great with the bad. At least the bad is trading away too many day 3 picks :man_shrugging:t2:

Was that actually necessary?

4th round picks can reach to the 3rd round.

Brad has done well moving around in 1st and 2nd. 3rd and 4th, not so well. Except for getting some guy that Nate really liked….Hudsonville or something?

Brad is just a guy who is swinging for power in those 3rd/4th trade ups. Not swinging to contact. He’s still young - he’ll learn.

Imo that Rakestraw pick is really hurting, especially if he busts out. There were so many other players/positions that would/could be helping this team now. Hope the kid pans out somehow…and let’s not bring up Arnold yet…

It’s hurt, for sure, but that’s hardly Brad’s fault. Everyone loved that pick, he was a consensus 1st rounder by draft day, or right on the cusp of it. It seemed like a steal. Just been a shit luck start to his career.

Re; Rake, I am going to :trade_mark: the term Redsharting I popped off in another thread here, just as I just did in the Tigers thread for McGodigle :trade_mark:
