Lions select DE Derrick Moore at #44

We will often trade up to get the guys the FO wants, it is what it is at this point.

It’s a 4th round pick. Not to say it’s not nothing, but it’s a historical 10% hit rate to even get a long-term starter.

I Like the pick

Jamo? Branch?

It did for Branch. It did for Jamo. It did for Ratledge. He’s missed some too, but again, my point is it is what it is. You are always going to be disappointed if you think he’s not gonna do it regularly. Sometimes it will work out, sometimes it won’t.

Are you forgetting other trade ups or just trying to pencil me as a idiot?

Do you think every single draft pick is going to be an All-Pro? Of course there are misses. You said trading up hasn’t worked out well. I gave you examples of times it has.

Why do you take everything so personal? It’s annoying.

Let me just ask Marty, are you okay with the tradeups for Branch and Jamo etc? If the answer is yes than your problem with tradeups is more about the player that they picked vs the trade itself.

Because lions Haven’t won nothing? What the heck do you want me say. Yes im disappointed. I dont like traded up when lions have holes

Dont forget about the massive misses.

It ain’t gonna hurt having him sit next to Hutch every day in the study room

That Michigan connection will be strong, and Moore will learn from one of the best

Well they are watchable, which is more than most of the past 40 years. This team is far better than anything we have enjoyed in decades. Seriously digest that. No need to be negative. The Lions just drafted the positions we all most wanted. For the first time ever.

I get it, but here’s the thing, we will be trading up. So, are you going to say it every single time we do? Because I can tell you now it is going to continue to keep happening. It’s your prerogative to point it out every time, just like it’s my prerogative to tell you every time you do to get used to it.

My point is that it is about the hit or miss, the trade itself doesnt really matter as long as your GM hits on his evaluation of the player.

Don’t forget that the majority of NFL draft picks are massive misses. The Lions misses don’t exist in a vacuum.

His trade up misses are for project types. It is his one draft flaw. Hopefully he has learned his lesson that you don’t have to have these guys. If they fall into your lap, fine. But he did hit Teslaa though so probably nothing changing haha

They’ve won the 4th most games in the league over the last 4 years… I’d say they’re WINNING, just no SB YET
