Lions select OT Blake Miller with 17th Pick

2nd behind Hutch for me. But to be fair, we knew a lot less about what they were looking for back then.

Taking the nobrainer pick is better than having a GM/Coach that tries to be the smartest guy in the room and tries to draw to an inside straight.

Some people just want sexy picks. I get it.

Who’s he got for round 2

Pregnon???

Lane Johnson played left tackle his senior season at OKLA

That’s a pretty damn good OL. Rebuilt in a year. Ages, 26,25,25,24 and 22. Back ups are solid. Anyone complaining about Holmes is a moron. This may be the best offense in the NFL.

Man, Jacob Rodriguez would be really hard for me to pass up if he were there considering our lack of any type of coverage LB

Rodriguez or Golday makes the most sense to me

Rutledge or Pregnon too

Jordan McFadden was the LT. Tristan Leigh had been his backup. And rather than flip everything around Dabo stuck with where each was at.

Huh, ?? H was a state champion wrestler, I’d be surprised if balance was an issue.

He has some footwork issues to iron out (I hate the high leg kick) that can sometimes leave him lunging. He improved it steadily though, and Clemson coaches suck at development, which is one of the reasons I think he still has a high ceiling and lots of improvement available.

balance was a problem for him in the louisville game is what I read

He’s the RT tackle version of Taylor Decker (16th overall in his class) and Jeff Backus (18th overall in his class). It’s not “sexy” which I get, but I think it’s a solid foundational move for this offense.

Good, I watched plenty of Spencer at Northern Iowa and he gave more than he took.

Interesting that Campbell talked about the franchise seeing a lot of room for development with Miller. The media sort of portrayed him as a “finished product” but clearly the Lions disagree (so do I by the way)
