Only 1 set of joint practices this year against the Giants. Wonder if the Chiefs or Steelers will want to sign up for it this year. I vaguely remember the league not liking the Lions having 2 weeks of joint practices last year.
I don’t think there will be two sets this season.
The Chiefs never do joint practices and not many teams have joint practices before the final preseason game. Camp is usually broken and teams are bginning prep for the regualar season opener.

Good point. Well then it doesn’t look like the fans will get one this year.
On an unrelated note, Hooker is gonna get a lot of run in the preseason. Goff didn’t play a single snap last preseason. I don’t see them changing their approach this year unless the give him a couple of series in the final game since there’s only one week of joint practices.

I agree. I think Goff will get at least a series or two against the Chiefs or Steelers.
The Chiefs take their preseason games pretty seriously since they don’t believe in joint practices.
Goff could get a good half of football in to get some live bullets against competitive team.
Campbell could give Goff a couple of series against the Steelers for some live Ford Field action before the opener,
I do expect a lot of Hooker this preseason and I’m looking fowatd to it.

Lions used to always play the Bills in the last preseason game when native Detroiter Ralph Wilson owned the team. That tradition is dead.
