Yep. That is a bit of a make you feel old one upping. I actually (barely) remember Milt and those Louisville teams. Was just when I started watching March Madness. Never nervous Pervis was the first final four I remember.

No one has brought up the real reason Jamo backed out on jersey # 1 and let CJGJ have it. The NFL requires a player to buy out the existing inventory of their jersey from distributors if he wants to change his number. Dalvin Cook briefly considered a switch from 33 to 4 a couple of years ago. When he found out if would cost him $1.5M to buy out the remaining inventory, #4 didn’t actually sound that awesome. Jamo has already lost a bunch of dough this year not to mention his guarantees. 9 is just fine.

I was going to bring this up earlier, but you nailed it so no need for me to pile on. Especially considering it probably cost him about $5,000 bucks to buy the stock on his original training camp number. Don’t remember what it was, but there’s a lot more #9’s out there.

He’s working on an endorsement deal with Fanduel as we speak, should be able to earn back what he lost from the Lions at lightning speed.
