Lions signed CB Tre Flowers to their practice squad.
According to KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson, the Lions signed Flowers to their practice squad on Tuesday. Reed, Flowers adds depth to the Lions’ secondary.

It cracks me up that fans think Holmes makes these decisions in a vacuum without consulting with DC at all. There is no way Holmes would sign anyone if that player didn’t get the stamp of approval from the coach. Yet DC can do no wrong, and Holmes can do no right when it comes to signing players.

This is exactly why every team has a director of pro scouting. There is so much roster churn over a season, you need to scout the league as much as you scout college. A lot of them are guys you liked during the draft process who failed at their first stops for one reason or another, but most of it’s the same as college - evaluating actual pro tape.
