We can definitely use him.
With both Iffy and JRM returning to practice, makes sense why the Lions are only carrying 51 right now. Think it’s possible they both play Sunday if they look fine in practice.
Getting a 2023 end of year like stretch out of Iffy would massive.
Even if he’s only 75% of what he was last year. The last 6 weeks or so last season, I thought he was one of the best safeties in football. Considering all the injuries we have, being able to move Branch around and have Iffy come in and play high level ball would be massive for this team

Jemar Jeffeson said he’s excited about the opportunity to play on Sunday, so he is either being elevated from the PS or signed to the 53. Probably just elevated.
Yeah, he hasn’t been elevated all year (I don’t think), so pretty sure he can just get elevated the rest of the games for the season.

I did, but if we’re being honest, I paid little attention to his haha. Even if he’s up, I wouldn’t expect him to have much of an impact, just like Vaki hasn’t through the first 14 games as RB4.

Fair. I was just kinda surprised by it. Thought we’d roll with 3 rb’s. Maybe Vaki playing some defense aint that far fetched. Why else bring up JJ. Do we really need a 4th RB active?
Well, to be fair, he was being led into these questions by a reporter. He said he’d ‘seize any opportunity’. Not really sure if he’ll get elevated or not. Not sure if he bring anything to ST, which is what he’d need to do to get a call up. That’s why Vaki has stuck as a RB4 all season, not for his offensive contributions.
Interesting anyways with the open roster spots, plus it’s gonna be cold and windy in Chicago. Might impact PS elevations and roster decisions.

I am also very interested in how the Lions manage the roster spots. With all of the bodies we signed from other team’s practice squads, to me it’s going to be very interesting managing the roster as we do start getting guys back. Trust me, I’d much rather have that problem. Especially with how things have gone.
Weather wise, I think this is pretty ideal for Chicago in late December. No precipitation, 32 degrees and winds only 5-10mph. There will be gusts but that’s always the case for Chicago.
Basically a warm day in early May up here in Canada
