Is he super athletic?
Did he average 19 YPC?
Did he play in a tough SEC?

What you don’t like is trading picks to move up 30 spots. This is what brad does…why not trust it? Its a great pick.

Same people mad about this probably hated the Gibbs pick too

Because lions still haven’t won or gone to the SB. Your asking a ton for a guy drafted 3rd . I hate giving up picks unless its the right player. The ball can only go to one player at a time. Still not addressing Hutchinson help. I addressing the same thing last

Oh stop. Go watch reading the rainbow.

Tell you wut - our braintrust absolutely LOVES athletic guys. Ratledge and TeSlaa rated literally the most athletic performers at the Combine at their positions.

So what it comes down to is that Brad thinks the kid is the right player and you disagree.

I’ll leave it at that.

Do you know hes the right player or does anyone. Ill stop right there. I dont think traded a bunch of picks for wr is worth it. The offense was what top in leauge. Def was like bottom of the leauge. Maybe getting depth on def side would be much wiser. Yes or no? And if we say injuries, thats just proving my point. He is still not addressing the biggest need and thats at the opposite side of Hutchinson.

The thing with having a ton of picks is a luxury for bad teams which we no longer are.

At some point we are going to be drafting players that may not even make the final roster, so what’s the solution…trade pick for better prospects. And that’s all these kids are at this point…they are not proven NFL talent.

So at some point we need to trade beans for individuals we hope will contribute…even if it’s a year down the road. :person_shrugging:t2:

I get that. Im fine trading up. Love the Tate pick because lions needed a future OG. But wr are easy to fine.

Of course I don’t. But I’m not the one who called the pick “F ucking stupid.” That was you.

Biggest need? That’s not the way he rolls; been VERY clear about that. Also seems clear that he’s more impressed w/TeSlaa than he is w/any of the edge guys you wish he had chosen.

He should. Cost us a chance to be in the super bowl back to back years.

Okay.

But football doesn’t work like that. JAMO affects the offense without ever touching the football. @Thats2 if this kid is good…then he makes everyones life easier. You yourself said you dont trade these picks unless its the right player. Okay 1) how do you know he isn’t and 2) right player according to who? Us the fans who have 1/100th the insights and tools that Brad has?

This isnt millen…7 probowlers/allpros in 4 drafts leads ghe league. I trust him.

Is De a issue or is wr a issue?

I understand your point and know good WR are found throughout the draft, but this was a need and we got by all accounts a very athletic WR…our other one has really helped open up the underneath so what can two do?

We may still come away with a couple DE/LB’s as there is still some talent to be had at those spots.

At the end of the day, let’s just grab great players and compete. Not sure how he may cost is SB’s as draft is not over but I can tell you the only thing he has cost us is some draft capital.

I am not educated enough in this young man to have a true opinion on him…but I will give him the benefit of the doubt as Brad and Dan have earned that.

So you said “i don’t think”…but Brad does think.

Our defense wasnt bottom. It was top 10 before the injuries and yes injuries were nuts…you can’t predict or prepare for 16 injuries on defense. He did address de and he will continue to do so.

For me this appears to be Brads (or Dans) aversion to drafting a DE the last two years knowing it is where we are the weakest. If he’s got something waiting after the draft like Zadarius….great. Otherwise, it’s Hutch and a roster that got 3.5 sacks in the last 12 games last year. That does not inspire confidence going forward.

When your entire pass rush is one guy, it’s time to look for help.

I still think de is the biggest concern. Hutchinson may not be the same player after his awful injury. We all whined about they cant get to the qb, and they still haven’t fixed it. Lions offense was the reason they won 15 games. Why cant it be the team won this amount of games? My biggest concerns was de and og. Got one but again didn’t address the de. Does getting to the qb help out the Dbs?
