The best part of all this is that our window with Stafford is closing. He’s still young but he takes too many hits. We have maybe four years to win with him and then we go back to the QB carousel.

So far, we are being shredded by Trubisky. Our defensive backs are throwing punches (at each other). And our offensive line remains a turnstile. Still the first quarter.
Trubisky is still awful, we are just making him look good.
He has 2 more years here if no results. At that point the cap hit is acceptable

Is there a window at all? I’m not sure Stafford is good enough to lead a SB team. We’re paying a top shelf price for Smirnoff.

I’m still a Matt supporter but I recognize he’s not Rodgers or Brees or Brady.
My point about his window is that, like him or not, he’s still the best QB we have had since the 50s. Our track record with QBs is abysmal otherwise and we get to go back to that.
