I am concerned about how the Lions could approach this game.
The Bears are done. Out of playoff contention their HC is fired. The team is in turmoil. They just got whipped on by the Vikings. Their interim HC has yet to win a game. This is his first home game though.
Bears are on an 8 game losing streak. Will they fold or will they play a hard fought game in hopes of upsetting the Lions?
I’m concerned that the Lions could get up by a few scores and start putting their starters on a snap count allowing CHI to get back in the game or to hang around too long.
The Lions had an 11 game win streak that was snapped last week by Buff.
The Lions have 21 players on the IR. Thats 40% of its roster is on the IR.
As a result this game is difficult to predict.
Dear Santa all I want for Christmas is the Detroit Lions in a Super Bowl.
The bears have nothing to lose and they hate the lions. Another lose from the lions here would be disastrously demoralizing. They need to come out ready to actually kill the bears.
I’ll be in the keys snorkeling. Hopefully there is cell service. My daughter made the reservation, and I was sick when I agreed to go during the Lions game. Caught me at a weak moment.
Lions have a lot more incentive than the Bears. They’re going to wash that bad taste of moldy bread out of their mouths by handing Chicago their 9th loss.
