Watching them march down the field repeatedly (and easily) was depressing. I don’t know what their ‘yards per play’ was in the first half, but it must have been very high. I don’t think they had a third down until maybe the late second quarter?
I think several teams would have looked better than that.

Yeah I watched Buffalo move up and down the field against one of the best defenses in the league one week prior to playing us. And they did that playing on the road.
I stand by my statement. Buffalo might have scored 70 against Houston if they played under the same conditions that they played against us.
The GB D gave up 39 to the Vikings, the Minnesota Vikings, and a QB whose shelf life had expired. The Jets scored 17 vs that same D. Their win was vs the 0-2 Titans who suck worse than most thought. The game plan is to out score however many points the D gives up which might be fewer than people think. Lions get back on track.
Lions will crush jets at home and will score 3 points against panthers in outdoor game

We win in Carolina… I’ll be there and I have a stupidly good record of seeing the Lions win on the road over the last 10 years. Chiefs home opener, Dallas, Cincinnati, Minnesota, Indy… The only away loss I’ve seen was the GB game when Trey Flowers had back to back (bullshit) hands to the face penalties to extend their 4th quarter drive and kick a game winning field goal as time expired.

Jets defense so far much better than Detroit’s. They’ve given up 30 points
Out of the four games, their opponents had their two lower scoring games while our opponents had their two higher scoring games
Detroit’s offensive delta much greater than the defensive delta and Lions really ought to win, but New York’s defense no slouch this year. Probably better than New Orleans or Buffalo
Thats because the Jets arent weak in any position group on D (actually true on offense also). They really are one of the more improved teams in the league. Excellent situation for a rookie QB to come in to for 2027.
If im not mistaken, they also have 3 more 1st rounders next year. If AG can hang in there this year, he might be around for a while.

I expect similar results as last year after getting embarrassed by the Packers they bounced back and destroyed the Bears
I believe this will be a get-right game too, but only like 60/40. The 40 is the Lions face a fierce fired up Jets team and it’s a war
What a fun game to watch seriously. I love AG. I have always loved him as our DC and always thought very highly of him. I like the Jets because of him.
It’s going to be interesting. I personally think it’s going to be a high scoring shootout. We know our secondary is trash so I think Geno and Wilson will have one of their better games and also because I expect the Lions to lead all game. I also think AG will focus on stopping the run so Goff will throw a lot.
This will be a lot of fun.
Getting Miller back will solidify the line. I think we pull out a close but comfortable win.
