If none of the WRs steps up and distinguishes themselves, I could see a situation where the Lions initial post-cut roster only has four (4) WRs. No way, you say?
Well, if none of them are really any better than the others, the Lions could stash 3-4 of them on the P.S. while the rest of the roster sorts itself out, and call them up as needed.
Additionally, I’m beginning to think the Lions 4th and 5th WRs might not even be on the current roster.
The Lions have a very competitive tight end room, but Parker Hesse and Shane Zylstra have emerged from the pack as being players that should make the team’s 53-man roster.
*^^ If this is the case, I hope James Mitchell looked good in joint practices against NYG and we can trade him and maybe a 7th for Darius Slayton
If Holmes sees an opportunity to improve the roster, he will take action.
No doubt a player or two, on the final roster, could not yet be here
Nothing certain … TBD
