The odds of any of those guys to become superstars is SUPER low. every prospect grading site says mid level 2-3 liners across the board. Especially since most are in year 3+ notice how guys that are actually projected top liners are up in 2 years. At least part time. Raymond, Seider, MBN, Edvinson, Kasper, JBD.

Zetterberg was 6 million in dead cap for years… Bertuzzi was another 3.5 million in dead cap… Nelson and Abdelkader 6.5 million in buyout space in 2022… Fabri was 3 million wasted on injury. Not to mention they had the most retained salary from shipping away bad player contracts in 2023.

Honestly I just don’t understand how people aren’t seeing that Steve is building a team that could have a chance for a cup in the next few yrs. So many people want this instant gratification and think it’s so easy just to trade for whomever you want at anytime.

Seider has literally turned into one of the best defensive defensemen in the NHL. If the Norris was solely about playing defense, like it used to be, and not a ‘which D man has the most points’, he’d be higher than 6th in the odds. Also, he’s never been this high in the rankings for the Norris, so how has he hit a plateau? Just say you don’t watch hockey, dude. Anyone is half a brain will tell you that Seider has taken a huge jump this year.
Literally everything you post is wrong. Only DraftKings has him at +10000. Everyone else is +7500, +7000 or +6000 and has him in the top 5 or 6 for odds while being tied for #16th in defenseman scoring. Everyone with better odds than him are literaly 1-5 in scoring for D-Men. Bouchard, Werenski, Hutson, Makar, and Hughes all have 57+ points. Mo has 38. Yet he’s still in conversation for the Norris. THAT’s how good Mo has become. Plateau my ass.
