I cheer for 2 teams in the top 11. It’s amazing I am still alive after that misery. Thanks for rubbing salt in the open wound though @DBend144 asshole!
I know time flys
Nashville was 27 years ago
Atlanta/ Winnipeg 2.0 was 26 years ago
Minnesota and Columbus 25 years ago
Vegas was 8! Years ago
Seattle was 4 years ago!
I have come to the very sobering reality that I am getting a bit long in the tooth.
I went to a CUBs game a couple of years ago and was shocked they had a DH.
I asked someone about the Cleveland Indians a year or 2 ago and they were like “you don’t follow baseball much do you”
It is hard to believe how quickly it goes. And I 100% agree about the Bluejackets (what is that anyway). I would have guessed they were added abut 10 years ago. But what has me really twisted are the Red Wings. It is closing in on 20 years. I remember it like yesterday. They were an absolute UNIT in the NHL. The damn salary cap and the passing of the King Mike Illitch doomed them. Mike liked winning way more that he cared about making money with his sports teams. We need more owners like him
Also I would agree that the Maple Leafs are also a sad story. For a country and a city that adores Hockey it is hard to believe they have not been able to put it together. Now to be fair, the exchange rate of Canadian Dollar to USD and the high tax rate and cost of living really put the hurt on their ability to buy talent. But man that one always makes me flinch.
