Rams look like they’re knocking out the Seahawks, so the Schneider story should pick up soon.
There’s really no rush. Remember we didn’t sign MP until after the SB, and I think if there was someone they really wanted they would’ve made a move.
I kinda like this approach, let the board fall to us, don’t act impulsively… I think prospective hires will respect it as well.
We couldn’t sign MP until after the Superbowl.
That’s what I mean. We couldn’t and we still hired him, got “our guy” at the time. I think we are going to get a good pair of personnel.
But there’s no rush to hurry up and sign Saleh, or whoever… we’ll get a quality pair
I can appreciate the thoroughness of the search, but the longer we take the greater the chance the prospects they might want won’t be there.
It goes beyond the GM and HC. An entire coaching staff needs to be put together.
So hopefully there’s a sense of urgency to this process as well.
Looks like maybe Holmes should be the better target.
Interview the Rams DC Brandon Staley! Rams D looked great even with Aaron Donald on the sidelines.
It actually did. Number one defense this year. Unfortunately the guy doesnt have a big resume, probably needs atleast another season to be considered. Could be the next hot commodity.
Got our guy but had slim pickings as far as his staff , we end up with left overs.
That is true too… however this time around I feel like there’s such a big pool of potential coaches/coordinators, we won’t be in the exact same situation again.
Maybe it’s wishful thinking but I’m good with this process for now. If we don’t hire anyone this week, ok cool but if it extends to the next week I’ll be a bit concerned.
Fact is, for all we know they have several offers out there and on the table, and have received an answer of, “sounds great, we’ll be in touch” as a response. This is not the dream job for many of these candidates. This is the fallback option if they don’t get the one they really want.
Just imagine coming home to your wife, because these guys do have families, and saying, " Dear, I know you have been thinking about the beaches in Jacksonville, or the shopping in New York, or everything in L.A., but I’ve got great news! I decided where we’re going to live before those jobs were decided! So pack your bags, because we’re going to Detroit. ".
Yeah, lead balloons and divorce attorneys all around.
Exactly and Quinn wasn’t even trying. Matty P was his boy
“I know Honey, but before you call the lawyer …there’s more -
The bad news is we’re trading Stafford , the good news is we’re buying his old house”
Is it the chicken or the egg> The coordinator or the personnel. I mean, the Rams are stacked on D. You or i might look good as their D coordinator.
I mean he’s older than McVay right! haha
So Schneider is a Packer’s shareholder? Gross.
In that instance I wish we would have hurried … lol
If only Martha had acted like this.

Hahaha yeah hindsight is not so kind…
I have a hunch if our dip$hit president was petty enough to go after CJ’s signing bonus, he’s going to be cheap enough not to offer Schneider enough money to come to Detroit.
It’s a pass for me. Schneider doesn’t make the decisions in Seattle. How much of their success comes from Carroll and Wilson? On top of that we may have to give up compensation for him. Pass.
