Lmao
Grizz are really good, just had a really bad injury bug for a bit
West is just nasty when you got OKC, but Grizz can stand up to them

Injuries have killed us for a while, along with Jah being a meathead. IF we can be fully healthy going into the playoffs we can beat anyone, though Edey will probably need to play the series of his life against OKC
My cousin is a Mavs fan. Crushed. Was on the way home from a wedding when he found out. Was at the Mavs game when he got injured (Christmas?). Said he never thought they was going to be his last time seeing him play as a Mav.
I just had ESPN on randomly last night as background noise then I look at the screen real quick with the Breaking News banner saying “Lakers get Doncic, Mavs gets Davis” and said, no way this can’t be real. You say that to a trade once maybe twice in a lifetime, that’s how shocking it was. I had to look at the calendar real quick just to make sure it wasn’t April 1st. Wild, wild stuff
I don’t know what the NFL equivalent would be. A 25 year old Mahomes being dealt the season after leading them to a Superbowl appearance? Maybe a bit drastic because Mahomes is like Jordan level but on that level in terms of name impact.
Yeah, its heartbreaking for Mavs fans
i legit feel bad for them, one of my close friends is a Mav fan aswell (He loves Dirk so much)
Bro hasnt responded, but i think hes devastated.
agreed with Edey, he needs to play top of his game, but that team i think can beat OKC in a series.
For sure we can, but we gotta be healthy.
In the NHL, Shea Weber for PK Subban when they were both Norris level was pretty monstrous at the time. I remember that day well because it was the day my Oilers traded Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson, another big 1 for 1 and Steve Stamkos, somewhat surprisingly, signed long term with Tampa Bay all within in an hour of each other.
Other than that, hard to remember such a blockbuster 1 for 1.
I actually thought of a different Dantley trade…
the one for Mark Aguirre.
The Mavs GM made some comments that make it seem they didn’t want to sign Luka to a super max deal…
and they also were concerned he might opt out a year later.
It also sounds like their concern with his conditioning and injuries amplified the financial concern. Mavs GM Nico Harrison previously worked at Nike, which involved being around Kobe and MJ. ESPN had a guy mention that his experience with those 2… who were know for relentless work ethics… perhaps played a factor in how the Mavs viewed Luka.
Add in HC Jason Kidd… known for demanding high effort on defense, and the picture was painted as the Mavs growing leery of committing to Luka.
No one knew. Not Luka, not AD, not LeBron.
Wow.
Luka, btw, is apparently or was this off season 270 pounds. Ouch.
I like Dallas’ lineup with AD. The long term issue is that AD is massively injury prone and Kyrie is a FA after this season. Do they re-up Kyrie? Shorter smaller deal than the Fooking Crazy 5 yr $345m Luka was gonna get this offseason, which he now isnt eligible for and has to take a 3 yr deal from LA, then do a 5 year after to get supermax money (which is 35% of the cap, btw).
Kyrie Klay Jimmy Butler/Brandon Ingram PJ Washinton and AD, with Lively off the bench. Probably cost them Gafford and Dinwiddie in a Butler deal, or simular for Ingram of the $ work, havent checked.
LA now may see LeBron leave, as his deal e pires this year. Reeves is a fine non allstar combo guard, but Rui Hachimyura and Jaxson Hayes as your 4 and 5? Turrible. LA goes hard on the reset. Maybe goes after Sengun in the offseason and adds a 3 and D guy. Oh, or Myles Turner, as apparently Indy isnt comfy paying him.
Wowser.
Nowhere near close. These are two HoF guys, one who is about the closest thing to Magic Johnson weve seen in 40 years.
Exciting move. Watching paint dry vs watching the NBA is getting closer by the day tough decision
At least paint doesn’t flop and whine and bitch and moan any chance it gets lol
Gretzky was traded. Beats all the rest of them combined IMO. Most dominant sports player I’ve ever watched. Thought the game at such a high level. Even Lemieux didn’t compare. Check this out… all time single season assist leaders. People like to say Wayne benefitted from the Oilers, which is way more true the other way around, Glenn Anderson doesn’t whiff the HOF without a guy named Gretzky. Not to mention Kevin Lowe, that’s an insult to the HOF. Had more assists as a 29 year old playing for the Kings, making Bernie Nicholls a freaking 70 goal scorer that year, than anyone else in history except for himself.
And then Gretzky went onto win 0 more Stanley cups While Messier kept winning them
I was a huge Messier fan for the record.
I’m pooping you for that one Kwesi.
Haha I knew that would get you I just loved Messier. He would score a goal, set up another, check you into the boards and punch you in the face. My kinda player
