Madden 22 reveals "home field advantages"

For the new Madden, each team will have a specific home field advantage. Ours will be that our players accelerate faster at home. While every team has 1 super power, for whatever reason they gave the Packers 3 of them. WTF?

First off, this is completely stupid, and a damn good reason people stopped buying Madden years ago. Second, the Bears home field “advantage”, shouldn’t that be more what happens to the Bears kickers at Soldier field?

NCAA a lot time ago had the “momentum” bar, but people hated it because it made the game too easy. Once you got a lead, it was nearly impossible to stop the momentum, and all of a sudden you could throw any prayer up and win, and the losing team couldn’t even run the ball without fumbling. It was like that with the game changer players too. A guy’s star would start flashing, and you knew to jump to the ground before he gets to you or else you were fumbling if he touched you.

If they let this shit happen during multiplayer games, Madden online won’t make it far.

the Packers also have a “hidden” home and away advantage of getting favorable calls by the zebra’s to stall drives or extend them depending on what is needed to benefit the Pack

This is complete and utterly crap.

If anything, there ought to be 1 universal home field advantage. Not some team based crap.

I like the idea of failed audibles and hot routes for the away team. This is a gimmick this year and I just wanted to point out the Packers bias even in a video game…but I think that part of a homefield advantage replicates real life. Giving a hot route to a receiver and he just gives you back a ? mark so you have no idea if he heard you or not is a good way to simulate reality.

Of course its something that should have happened 10 years ago, but we know what to expect from Madden.

I do not.

My air raid does not like that.

The Titans stole the Packers real life super power. No holding penalties at home.

Was looking for that one.

so like real life

I stopped playing Madden since the CJ cover.

It’s not the same game, but I loved in NCAA when you had underclassmen who would occasionally botch routes, or when your QB was rattled, the play art would be random squiggles. I thought those were very nice and accurate touches, and you could throw some simple passes, or run the ball to kinda get guys settled into the game, just like you do in real life.

Yea, I remember that feature of the NCAA games, it made it seem much more realistic and something a coach would have to actually consider when calling plays in college. Madden has never seemed very realistic to me at all.

I even enjoyed the recruiting aspect of the game, guys going the juco route would always suck after putting in tons of effort to land them or have a 4 or 5 star recruit transfer on ya. I always played Army and would build them into a powerhouse

What’s this Madden you all are speaking of?
