I live in Eugene, Oregon and even I think this is wild. Does his contract have no clauses about professionalism/decorum, etc?

Pretty sure his contract is revenue dependent. Maybe he can use the āI did not inhaleā defense.

For one, this comment here is kind of ick IMO. Secondly, are they conditioning us to accept something incoming that virtually none of us want? ![]()
I donāt think thereās much there on your 2nd point. To me, itās showing pride for our military. Regardless of how any of us feel about the stuff that is forbidden to talk about on this board, showing pride for our men and women serving is OK in my opinion.
Iām not the biggest fan of McAfee (too much of a blowhard for my liking), but I donāt think thereās much here other than supporting our military. Itās not their choice where they end up or what conflicts we choose to engage in. I stand with them 1000%.
I support our troops. So much so that I want them out of harmās way unless it is absolutely necessary. I just donāt think we should be cracking jokes about attack helicopter pilots having to execute a lethal order. Iām quite confident they donāt think it should be joke material and take ending a life very seriously. Now I understand that Pat is not a member of the military and they donāt control what he says but they do create the conditions that allowed that type of thing to be said in the first place and I just donāt think itās wise from a branding standpoint.
I also canāt really recall this sort of thing throughout my lifetime. Flybys? Sure. Perhaps during Desert Storm but I was too young to remember those details well. In prior DoDās we havenāt opted for this degree of tough guy pageantry. It was Russia and China doing the military parades. Then we suddenly had one here. So hopefully you are right and that it is simply more pageantry. Itās quite possible that I am being paranoid about escalation. If we do however see more and more of this type of stuff I will become increasingly worried that it may be public relations preceding a major policy change.
As for ESPN this is the second week in a row that Gameday has gone off script like this and I do find that to be an interesting development.
Pat mcafee is a ā ā ā ā ā ā ā wanker
Oh, youāve been following the show closer than me. I didnāt watch GameDay last week or today so thatās news to me on the off script stuff. I try not to watch all the talking heads, they annoy me. I understand where youāre coming from now. I donāt disagree with anything you said. Without wading into āgetting thread lockedā territory, I also keep top of mind that our military is only in harmās way for National Security purposes instead of whatever political crap goes on we never know about.
Same thought process with you on this Husker.
Yeah, we are wading into thread lock territory.

Is it cuz I said wanker?
Iāll stop wading out into the deep water, I donāt want Motor City DC to keep dragging me out there and drown my ass with 1 ass cheek and 3 toes.
But to be clear, we can use the term wanker right? ![]()
Itās really a great word, Iāve been using it more and more every day!
Was using it A LOT Thursday night, for some reason..
I have no idea why, but Iām just sitting here, laughing like a 16 year old kid talking about nuts, balls, whatever the hell we found funny back in the day.

I think wanker is ok, just careful when you start throwing around choad. Thereās kids on here
FFS, I canāt be expected to talk about football, especially Lions football, and be kid friendly. Thatās an impossible task. Rating it right up there with the Lions defense trying to stop a respectable NFL offense ![]()
A @CuriousHusker thread is like a āNaked Gunā movie.
Only wankers donāt use the word wanker.
