this is odd
I don’t like that guy but it’s cool that he can admit he was wrong. He never struck me as the guy who could do that.
Late in the 2020 season, McVay threw Jared Goff under the bus, drove over him and backed it up several times. He wasn’t man enough to tell Goff the truth. It was messy and wrong. But…
Everyone who has ever tried to accomplish anything has on occasions taken paths that left bodies in their wake because of selfishness, inexperience, impatience, whatever. That would include me. I think it’s important to assess and learn from one’s own behaviors and correct them. Sean has learned that lesson in Goff’s case, and he talks about it so that he remembers and doesn’t repeat that particular error in the future.
On to the next messy unforced error in life!!!
I wonder if Jared regrets not piping her.
I actually think he was that guy at first. But as someone who’s been critical of McVay before. He has gotten better and might be the best coach in the league right now.
we all know HC Dan is the best…I mean Duh !

He’s only saying this because goff is a hell of a qb now. If he was bad and fizzled out in detroit then he wouldn’t be saying this. I truly believe what happened there was more personal at he time than anything.
As if he didn’t.

He also won a Super Bowl with John Matthew Stafford. Everything is lining up for him to be able to humble himself publicly about the situation.
In reality I think that McVay rose up the ranks so fast that he had gaps in his knowledge of football and how to attack defenses that Goff…at the time…couldn’t help him with. Stafford came with the knowledge that McVay lacked.
The best saying I have heard about Goff is “you threw him to the wolves, and he came back leading the pack.” That DEFINITELY plays a part in this.
