He won 2 state championships. Also You talk about a slap in the face to Jadyn Davis when every year new kids are recruited. It’s what big time college football programs have been doing since the beginning of time. You’re just whining because that’s what makes you feel better. I swear nearly every post you have is negative. It’s like you have no clue what you’re talking about so you just Fn cry.
How are you doing. How was your surgery
Jesus.
I’d have a heart attack.
The days 3 and 4 were icky, but I’m doing a lot of walking while holding the walker a little off the ground now. I got off the Percocet after 2 days because that didn’t feel good and I use regular Tylenol instead. There is some swelling of the leg below the hip, but not too crazy.
I’m tempted to say I’m doing well, but it’s possible I’m pushing too much. I’m just doing what I need to in the moment and seeing where this goes. Sounds good, yet I had quite a few screams of frustration in the shower this morning which felt good because I want to be done with this right now at 6 days after surgery. It felt therapeutic.
Definitely will take some time. But you got this. Get healthy so you can party when the lions make the SB
Is this a serious comment? Henson was very good at Michigan with a win over OSU.
I love boobs but shit…even @Bols would fumble those fun baggs
Those aren’t the saggy kind he likes
Knowing my friend @Bols. He hasn’t turned down a boob since 1974.
He won two state championships.
I’m not big on paying athletes so much right out of high school, but that just where college football is at. Until the conferences form universal rules that’s just how it’s going to be. I’m not going to pretend paying high school athletes started with Bryce Underwood though.
Oh no doubt, but its like mlb. The rich will out spend the poor. Its going to bite the game in the ass. Its not just uofm its a ton of othet teams as well. I can see a ton of teams leaving conference because they dont have bank. Portal is also really bad. Thats why paying someone so much is just dumb because they could leave the next year
This has always been the case. It’s just instead of players staying, developing, growing to earn a starting spot and degree, they transfer. You hear Tom Brady talk about this all the time. Nick Saban talks about this all the time.
College programs have always recruited the best athletes they could every single year. That’s how teams like Alabama were able to plug and play for so long. The difference is players no longer stick around through adversity, even though adversity is what makes you grow. If Tom Brady played in an era where players were one and done, he never would have been NFL Tom Brady.
I guess all that to say Jadyn Davis should stick around and fight for a starting job. Competition can only make him stronger, but I completely understand that in today’s college football that’s not as likely.
It will sort itself out. Eventually every player will get paid, it will be organized and capped. Some players will make more in endorsement deals. The conferences will agree to rules for the portal. This is all going to take time because the NCAA was more interested in fighting the inevitable than they were in actually doing their job. A lot of good coaches left college sports because of it.
It’s not even about the conferences coming up with rules. It’s a legal issue, the schools can’t legally control how much they get paid.
I think the bigger problem is the rivalry sense eroding. It will be tough for MSU and Umich, or OSU and basically anyone except Umich to have a solid rivalry when the money will largely make it a major league vs a minor league. Umich had the edge in recruiting but MSU was able to win just enough to keep a rivalry going. That may take away from the interest.
Now the one point I will make in its favor is that generally in the last couple decades the B1G belonged to OSU (obviously I don’t count the cheating seasons) and now it will be far more of an even playing field between just a few teams.
Are you making the claim based off Michigans love to run the football or off the lack of play makers at WR?
I’ll address both.
Any HC worth his salt will adjust his playbook to reflect his players. Underwood has a big arm so I’d expect to see Michigan pass and go deep more often.
WR’s will want to play with Underwood. Michigan will have plenty of talented WRs wanting to go there. So talent won’t be a problem. Expect more to come.
