Keeping the defensive scheme was very important to Sherrone Moore. Michigan has a lot of talent on defense, and they want to keep it. It sounds like Wink hit it off pretty good with some defensive players watching film of the Ohio State game.
I highly doubt Martindale will be a top recruiter, so replacing Elston is very important. Keeping Clinkscale was huge, but they need some good recruiters to fill these other positions.

That was an overachieving Giants team coming off of a 4-13 season in 2021.
