yea a lil bit, but also to show that others are doing it
plus w/ the Ncaa coming out and saying Harbaugh had no knowledge of it means I dont expect anything outside of fines being hit Harbaughs way
Micihigan itself though could get some significant reprimands
outside of that, we wont get a conclusion till the investigation wrapus up, and that likely will take months, so yea
Again though, i want michigan to win now, just cause the salt would be ■■■■■■■ glorious, on a level never seen before, where troves of people and ESPN Cope and Seethe.
Business idea for stallions until the ncaa goes to electronic equipment… do it across the power 5 for all teams and offer a subscription service to teams signals. He can even have an onstar style service where he can be paged/called to break signs in real time.
It’s too late now for any type of a shift in media perception to matter. Even if Michigan did go on to win a National Championship it would always come with the caveat that Michigan cheated. Finebaum is already laying the ground work for it, and I’m positive that most others in the media will join in.
Shame on Connor Stalions, and anybody else that knew it was going on. He ruined what could have been a great season for the Michigan players, and their fans.
Hate is a strong word, but I ■■■■■■■ hate the guy for what he did.
Meh i am going to be honest, that perception doesnt matter only the repercussions if any are what matters. Public perception can be they cheated to win, patriots always had that cloud and nothing changes how much they won. Vacating wins or firing coaches really are the only outcomes that matter here… perception of the win having an asterik meh thats just noise
This is exactly right. Michigan and its fans know this was the year and they are having emotional, reactive angst doing the right thing. Especially because their team is good enough that it didn’t need to be done in the first place.
People think I’m mad apparently. I’m not mad as much as having a lot of fun with this. Get used to this Michigan, this is the next like 50 years of the program. You are dirty cheaters now.
And if that is the perception but wins arent vacated and coaches arent fired…
If more comes out that points to that punishment needing to be to that level okay, but the more that comes out makes it seem more and more prevalent throughout the league.
Michigan didn’t send the AP the evidence of OSU Rutgers and Purdue colluding and passing out Michigans signs
This was a coach on another team who was fed up with the witch hunt
Similar to why former players like RG3, Clarett, JJ Watt and Flutie all spoke out saying it wasn’t a big deal
What’s funny to me is the narrative shift from ‘such a competitive advantage!’ to ‘sure we had their signs too but….um….corruption!
And thinking about the fact that Ohio State had Michigans signs last year and changed theirs and they still got smoked by 22 points. so much for that ‘competitive advantage’
Just like the video of Saban talking to the LSU player last weekend ‘you’d play more here you know’. College sports have always been dirty. People don’t really care. Conferences still make billions. Teams will try any and all ways for competitive advantage.
Rutgers and Ohio State asked if it was legal first before they gave their study guide to Purdue. Michigan just blatantly cheated and stole the answers to the exam.
Doug karsch insinuating on 97.1 this morning that he is hearing many other schools are about to be pulled into the fray and it will get very ugly big ten wide if petiti doesnt get the teams to be aligned on internal control… sounds a lot like the sec a few decades back
I wonder if usc, ucla, oregon, and washington are sitting there like “oh shit, did we make a mistake…”
