Right now Philly looks like the team to beat. But there’s a reason they’ve been behind all year too.
That’s right where I’m at. Of course, we’re going to be in the playoffs and a #1 seed would be sweet. This the type of season I craved for many years and a loss or two in the regular season isn’t going to ruin it for me. One and done in the playoffs would hurt, but I’ll cross that bridge if and when I come to it.

“Best Team in the NFL” means crap. Having said that, Philly is absolutely playing the best football right now.

Every team has games like that, the Lions included… The Ravens are an average kicker away from 9-4 and the Lions having 2 games up on the #1 seed

It’s because we barely beat Chicago on national TV… though we dominated them in the first half and then let Caleb “Pad Statford” us in the 2nd to almost Mathew like 4th Q comeback. An uncharacteristic and untimely fumble on their 2 breathed life into them.
We should have been up 23-0 or more at the half. Then we played off-coverage and let then chunk their way back into it.
If I had one Dan complaint lately- let’s get our starters out for some reps, but let’s call the game like we expect to score in Q3-4…. When up 2-3 scores we don’t need to see Monty and Gibby only… we can mix in some Vaki or Netflix.
I’m sure there is no factual data here, but it seem like in soft zone, dine type defense- lots of guys get hurt. Defensive linemen are running down field to get in on tackles, there are piles on the RBs and TEs.
I’d like to see our base D and keep the gas on O while subbing a bit for breathers.
