The writer’s claim about the Lions’ “fanbase” openly celebrating injuries w/reference to one fan’s very tacky sign is itself incredibly tacky. And stupid.
But if some/all of those 14 women were subjected to unwanted touching and/or hostile, persistent heckling, not cool at all. Why be as quick to dismiss their complaints as sour grapes as some of you seem to be? Imagine these being your daughters, girlfriends, wives. (Not that it should take that.)

It’s a matter of selective perspective. I went to Santa Clara last Monday night to see the Lions play the Niners. Almost all my interactions with Niner fans were overwhelming positive. They were warm and welcoming
But one drunk cat in the 4th quarter started ■■■■■■■ with my drink and tried to start some shit with me. I was able to diffuse the situation but
Do I go online and focus on the one idiot and talk about how stupid drunk and hostile Niner fans are?
Or do I remember the vast majority of friendly interactions?

Because none of this was ever brought up when it was the lions taking BTA for decades. Do you think those players’ wives didn’t hear shit from opposing fans? Yet not a peep. But now that the rabbit has the gun, the lions are dirty, and the fans are hostile? Yea, i call bs. Those ppl are just soft af and dont know how to handle getting destroyed by a team that’s been trash for decades.

In my view, this is a non-story. Just because the fans are player’s wives does not make them more credible.
That said, I’m with the crew that would step in to protect a woman, if there was a reason to.

Sounds like the whole Vikings buying tickets for Ford Field thing backfired big time. They were targets when word got out.

I’m not going to say whether or not the wives are being honest or not. No idea who they are to speak on their character.
However, I will say this. Sports crowds are always rowdy and full of drunks and are often unenjoyable.

Spot on post. Remember most the people on the Vikes sub and posting boards still think people in the crowd yelled ‘Vikings suck!’ during the moment of silence for the New Orleans victims.
Even when presented with objectively true evidence that what was shouted was ‘F__k ISIS!’
People still claim the former. People are going to believe what they want to believe. Actual truth rarely matters these days
