That teams as soft as their wives and girl friends. Stay home next time. Imagine if the Vikings lose in the first round again?

The attempts to move the narrative away from the Vikes choking is something else. Pretty clear sign that the fans and players all know that they are paper tigers buttressed by a some good fortune and an easy schedule.

Who knows exactly what happened, but it doesn’t seem like these ladies would have any extra incentive to make something up about Lions fans than they would Bears fans, or whomever.

There isn’t an excuse to be an asshole. I’d like to think it was a very small minority of fans doing this.

This writer does appear to have an axe to grind, though, claiming that the Lions “openly celebrate injuries”, using Dan’s kneecap speech as “proof” of this.

You’re a Kelly, and you’re a Kelly, and you’re a Kelly, and you’re a Kelly…
Yes, we did beat your husband’s.
Guess what’s going to happen the next time we see you?

First, I present even more evidence that this loss to the Lions broke the Vikings fans. They were really high on their own supply and expected to walk in and dominate the Lions, and they got their asses kicked. So now they are trying to find any measure to diminsh the Lions and their fans.

I don’t buy for one second that Dalton Risner’s wife was “inappropriately touched”. Those words are implying some form of assault, and IF that happened, one call to security and those fans are banned for life. It’s that simple. Especially with someone high profile. The Lions banned a guy out for simply mouthing off to Lafleur. Also, I don’t care if they are opposing fans, if a woman yelled and said she was being groped and there are other guys in the area, an ass beating will quickly commence. People rush to the aid of people.

Second, the Blake Cashman’s girlfriend saying the Detroit fans were wishing injuries on opposing players… Ummm, first time attending ANY sporting event? One side’s fans yelling “kick their ass” is hardly the same as wishing for injuries.

On another note, if these girls had a rough time with getting heckled, well you may very well have your own team to blame for that. The Vikings made it well known that they bought a shit ton of tickets so that they could bring their own fans in to make noise and create a hostile enviornment. The natural reaction is, if Lions fans see Viking fans walking around, these may be the “bussed in” fans, so yeah you are going to hear some grief when your team loses a big game.

I’ve been in enough stadiums in different sports to know when you are wearing an opposing team’s jersey, you have to expect to hear it from the home fans. However, as long as you are respectful and not causing problems, most fans recognize you are there to root for your team, they are there to root for their team, and they leave each other alone. Start shit talking? Well, be ready to receive it.

How silly what we report nowadays.

I’m not defending the actions or casting doubt that what they alleged may have occurred.

I do believe that if the Vikings win this isn’t even brought up or certainly isn’t elevated to where someone is trying to make it the primary story of the aftermath of that incredibly disappointing game for that organization.

IMO they got humbled but are refusing to eat the humble pie. :man_shrugging:

Yeah, Dan Campbell made the wives hold his jacket while he kicked their team’s ass. First we have Hockinson complaining to the refs about every pass he drops, then Jefferson comes out and whines about holding at DPI calls not being made, now these wives get their gums flapping. What a weak minded group. No wonder they lost. Soft Vikings butter.

What kind of tickets are these opposing players getting their wives?

Guess what? There are drunk and obnoxious fans at every NFL game.

Get some box seats, or buy a suite.

These stories bother me. No one should wish injury on players but damn, who hasn’t wished a great QB gets knocked out for a couple snaps?

These games are crazy expensive, they are emotional, they are loud and they can bring out a bad side to people. But to compare Lion fans to Eagles fans when they have a court room on site is crazy. To mention inappropriate touching but not bring in security but this also mentioned in this article is unfair. No one should be touched like that and security would have removed that fan if they (security) knew but did nothing. Feels like a cheap shot.

They show a sign from a Lion fan that talks about kneecaps of Vikes and Rams and chunks from the Bucs feels weak as evidence of Lion fans celebrating other team players getting injured. We beat our division rivals 2/3 weeks to close the 2023 season as we fought for the #1 seed in 2023. We also beat the Rams in a tough game in the WC round.

Dan Campbell isn’t encouraging injuries for other teams, he is talking about getting up when you are knocked down. Resilience and grit. Not headhunting. And I don’t think our fans encourage others to get injured either.

I’m sorry these important women/VIPs felt mistreated. That sucks. But I’m also not sure that actually means Lion fans went too far around them. Now, if fans are removed then hell yes that is awful. Doesn’t seem like security was alerted to serious concerns in this case.

Exactly my thoughts. And how do the fans know they are players wives. Makes it sound like they were specifically targeted. BS. It was cool when the Lions were the doormat. Ain’t fun anymore is it Vikings?

Did we yell at Sam Darnold’s kids or something?

Yeah, the wives were cranky because their fellas had the gall to take them to a playoff game in Detroit, of all places. The nerve. Why couldn’t they be playing somewhere near Manhattan, or Miami? They will get over it, they can go to Rodeo Drive next week.

And Van Ginkle tried his best to knock Jah out of the playoffs, but failed. Bite me.

Fans at Ford field can be ruff at times, I remember when a drunk fan was standing in the isle and was screaming furiously at Matt Stafford saying he would f-cking kill him and his dog all kinds of stupid shit. Face beat red it was sad, I took my buddy that’s was also my bouncer to that game , he went over and made the guy sit down people clapped. But it was shameful.

But the Vikes after this game seemed to have fallen apart. This seems like a talented but mentally weak team. When things go there way there great but first sign of adversity they have completely fallen apart I mean even there wife’s are fallen apart. The last time we beat them they were so effected they lost the next week also to the Rams. Now they going thru it all over again and boy there showing the world they can’t handle it. The Vikes need some serious Grit. I’m wondering if they have a tampon machine in that locker room

Sure. Just like how we were booing Kelly’s children. Or how ‘dirty’ Joseph is. This article is so cringey. They are obviously making up shit because they are mad about losing.
