The players the Tigers got back will likely be more beneficial to the Tigers in 2027 and beyond than the 2 pitchers who likely sign elsewhere for 2027ā¦ but still could cone back to Detroit if they want to be here.
Tigers got a top 25 MLB prospect that would be able to play 5 years for the Tigers on the cheap before hitting free agencyā¦
and still have the SAME chance to sign Skubal in 4 months time!!!

the top 2 pitchers on that prospect list were acquired in the trades for Skubal & Mizeā¦
who very possibly wouldnāt have re-signed Detroit this offseason.

3 of the top 6 current Tigers prospects were acquired in the past 3 daysā¦ when the Tigers were considered a decent farm system.
And it is 4 of the top 15 prospectsā¦ though 2 of them are playing well with the Tigers in the MLB now!!!
