Figured I’d make a thread. Just turned on the White Sox game. They do have a lot of young talent.
Saw the Phillies walked it off on an ABS catcher challenge. Challenging balls and strikes in the playoffs is quite a difference than watching the past few decades of playoff ball.

I think he means Maddox barely ever threw a strike and the umps gifted him pitches off the plate forever. Could be wrong. @frm710 is a great dude.
The new challenge system has definitely changed baseball moving forward IMO. Personally I like it.
In lieu of the Tigers in the playoffs, rooting for Milwaukee is the only viable option.
Maddox was a amazing pitcher. Was a huge Braves fan in 90s. With the tigers. But we all know tigers stinked in 90s.

THeir staff got all the calls in the regular season, when playoffs started not so much. Maddox and Glavine were horrible in the postseason.
And yes, living in Atlanta then, I rooted for them to win the division as I new they would fail in the postseason and they did exactly that when the strike zone became real.

I’m kind of loving seeing the Red Sox get dog walked out of the first round after they nearly got to the Tigers of 1984 35 and 5 run though not to start the season.

Also I hated that the Tigers didn’t sneak into that last slot cuz they definitely could have sent the Astros home too and it would be double delicious with Verlander and Hinch
