MLB free agency: Giants land Carlos Correa with 13-year, $350 million

Me neither, especially with an overabundance of starters–unless they’re going to keep him in a relief role like he was in 2022.

But 10 million.

Too much.

Gotta be starting with that contract

He isnt even worth mlb pay.

They just signed Michael Lorenzen 1 /8. 5m

Above average setup RP, averagish SP, a little injury history. Big arm, control issues.

2 way player, can hit bombs as a PH.

They need SP depth. Not terrible. Filling gaps is 2023 mantra it looks like.

I did some reading today and they were saying he fits the culture Harris is trying to build and is a great club house guy. They want him to be a mentor the younger guys.

Hard not to laugh, but he’s already injured. Yet they thought 13 years for 350 mill was a good idea. Will be interesting to see if they can get out of the deal now since he can’t pass the physical.

Wow, now he’s a Met!!

and his Platinum Glove at SS is now at 3b.

very Machado…without, you know, the actual health or production of Machado

Haha what a shitshow the whole process has been. Maybe don’t give an often injured dude 12-13 year contracts.

I wouls expect a shorter term with some kind of games played escalators in there. Boras wont like it, but that guy is damaged goods…

Now Correa is going back to the Twins… lol the 1st guy in league history to sign with 3 different teams in the same offseason. Pending physical of course.
