That’s a lot of picks lol. What draft board did you use?
I used mockdrafthero.com.
Traded back three times in the first round, moving back a couple spots each time and picking up some 3rds-4ths-5ths with each trade, also moving back a couple other times when offered a good return. Allowed double tapping several positions, like CB, S and RB.
I like the initial trade downs but I would then package the lower picks to move back up to select better players. I’d rather come away with 4 or 5 players that have a real chance to contribute something.

They let you toggle through different draft boards at the beginning of the draft (Mock Draft Datbase, PFF, PFSN, Draft Tek), but I’m guessing you didn’t know that so were probably using the default, which I believe is the mock draft database.
Yep, that’s the one I was using.
I did do one like Bubba was suggesting, where I got Fano in the late first, then Jacas in the second and used extra picks to move back up into the 2nd and double tap edge with Malachi Lawrence.

If you go to the settings and increase the draft for need from 28 to about 32 it will make the draft more realistic. But you will no longer be drafting Fano at 28.

Yes with the setting for draft for need bumped up a bit.

You should switch over to Draft Tek every now and then. Theirs is so different it’s pretty refreshing, you end up seeing names fairly early and it makes you go take another look. It’s one of the oldest draft boards and they put a lot of time into it. Definitely the deepest one come draft day, I think they eventually go 750 deep.

It just goes to show you how different individual team boards will be from “consensus” mocks. That’s why I think we’ll have options we really like with each pick. Whether Brad takes those players or not, I don’t know, but we’ll have options.
With the draft tek one I think I could go another 4 or 5 rounds still taking guys I like.
Some of the guys they have higher are interesting. They’re the reason I deep-dived Wesley Bailey.
I used to draft Matt Goncalves the OT from Pitt on there. They were the only ones that had him listed and he was like 494. I’d still take him in the 6th round. Now he is a starter for the Colts.
