I know. As soon as I clicked it I regretted it due to the implausibility, but I was loathe to start over since Traore fell and I didn’t think that would happen again.

Alas, this was our slot pre-draft. Just have to prove them wrong. I just went and checked and Seattle’s was 16th before the season, so there’s precedent.

I still don’t get the Anthony Smith decision. Maybe he can still be a first rounder next year. I’m skeptical given the log jam. But I don’t see how he wasn’t a top 25 pick in this class if he worked out like he’s supposed to.
We have to reframe our contemplations around it. NIL changes things in ways that are hard to predict and tricky for us to understand. Returning is the bird in hand, the draft is Peter Griffin’s mystery box. It could even be millions of dollars!
