I can’t even explain how wild this is. So I will leave it to one of the founders of OpenAI:
I’ve been reading through their threads the last couple hours and it’s just crazy.

Wait till the AI bubble bursts - we will really have a shit show. At some point, you’d think the investors will want some return on investment and from what I’ve seen, we’re a ways off to find the productivity from AI that so many companies are banking on.
But to your point, pretty wild stuff going on.
Who in their right ■■■■■■■ mind thought THIS was a good idea??
Train AI on reddit, get virtual redditors
I’m pretty sure half the accounts on reddit aint real people already
So many Instagram comments are all bots these days. It’s actually ridiculous.
Whoever is deploying them has clearly done some work with AI themselves. I saw this one post where like 10 different accounts all had a similarly long response to this particular post of like four passionate sentences (that were clearly AI), and they all had between 420-450 likes. Obvious bots.
The thing that really gave it away was that they all had the exact same viewpoint and they were distributed throughout the very large comment section all with the same number of likes.

And so it begins
Get on the Ai train boys… It’s changing everything… I don’t even know what to tell my kid to do for a career at this point, she’s considering the air national guard and working with drones… Brave new world coming over the next few years
Wait until sadly take over all our accounts we use now for banking… then we will have to go back to markets to trade items in person
AI is scary shit. Look no further than Amazon. Since October 2025 they’ve laid off 30,000 corporate jobs that are now primarily being done by AI. That’s just what company at the very early stages of AI. Amazon is probably at the cutting edge, but it won’t take long for other companies to get on board. Then massive layoffs.
Just wait until they perfect automated driving and 3 million truckers are out of a job. Curriers, taxis, Uber, pizza delivery, patient transportation, etc. White collar jobs are at tremendous risk over the next several years. The trades will probably be OK for the next decade, but what happens when nobody can afford to get their shit fixed or upgraded or remodeled?
Fast food restaurants will be next. They already have AI ordering systems and most of the jobs are repetitive, meaning they can easily be automated. Paying $20 / hr for a hamburger flipper is not sustainable. Sales are down for most fast food these days. I know, that’s probably a benefit overall, but there are 4 million more jobs at risk in the near future.
Jobs aside, how will we ever determine what is real or not? Our government has admitted to doctoring photos using AI. Think about the implication of that admission. Everything now is “fake” news, AI videos are becoming harder to discern from reality. Scary times indeed. I’m glad I’m entering the twilight of my lifetime because I don’t think our future looks very rosey.
Going to try and subtly guide my boys towards trade skills instead of college. In the end it’s going to be their choice, but from what I can tell it’s going to be the best long term option.
Guys its fine, I asked AI point blank about movies like Terminator, Matrix, and Age of Ultron and they ASSURED me it could never happen

The funniest part is when I asked it what movie is the most realistic AI takeover and the answer was not killer robots but movies like Idiocracy and Her lol.
That’s probably a good choice. It’ll be hard to AI those jobs away for a while. Long term society financial health is the only risk…but that might be true for every profession. There’s only so much plumbing and electrical work the billionaires will need.
I’m counting on their insatiable need to continue building.
Need them all to be building like the Winchester House.
Ironically, liberal arts educations will become more valuable in the future.
Employers will need people who can actually think critically on their own and write cogent reports. AI is a simulation of intelligence, but not actual intelligence. The young people who can use AI intelligently will be sought after. But you need to be able to read and write at a high level to provide value to the marketplace, without resorting to AI all the time.
As a writer, there is massive pushback in the marketplace to pure AI content. Like 80% of contracts specifically require non-AI produced work.
