The seventh seed will likely have to open at Dallas, where the Cowboys and Brad Allen are practically unbeatable, riding a 16-game home winning streak.

I see you, Carlos.

I am kind of a proponent of playing guys in the last game. Yes, I understand the risk of injury. But I’ve seen too often where teams get that week off and come out flat. It transcends different sports as well. If you recall, the Detroit Tigers clinched the ALCS early in both of their previous World Series appearances. They looked like a different team when they came back. I was talking to a good friend of mine yesterday, who is a Baltimore Ravens fan. He said the last time the Ravens had a bye and rested their starters for the last game, they came back looking awful and lost in the divisional round. He’s worried again about them having basically two weeks off now.

Several of those Peyton Colts teams were guilty of this as well. Cruise through the season, rest guys, and then boom “enjoy your offseason guys”.

Dan Campbell: Guys will have time to rest when the season is over.

That’s a good article. Kind of hard to fault Mcvay for resting his team. His playmakers are much older than Detroits.

I hope we are up 49-9 in the third qtr and then we stay subbing player to rest

Exactly! This is why they get paid to play a game.
